Poplar is an E14 neighbourhood of flats far more than houses, and we decorate the lot — post-war maisonettes on the Lansbury Estate behind Chrisp Street Market, housing-association blocks with shared lifts and corridors, the listed brutalism around Balfron Tower, and the new apartments climbing the Canary Wharf fringe and Aberfeldy New Village. Most jobs here are leasehold or estate work, so we plan around managing-agent rules, lift bookings for materials and tight controlled-barrier parking. With the Limehouse Cut and Basin close by, damp and water-staining are routine, which is why stain blocking and moisture-resistant finishes sit at the heart of what we do in Poplar.
