Low Tack Painter's Tape

A delicate-surface masking tape with roughly a quarter of the grab of a standard painter's tape. Made for fresh paint, wallpaper, lining paper and lacquered finishes — the places where an ordinary roll takes the surface with it.
- Low tack — roughly four times gentler than standard painter's tape.
- Safe on fresh paint, wallpaper, lining paper and lacquered surfaces.
- Removes cleanly for up to 30 days with no adhesive residue.
- UV resistant for 30 days outdoors, with good water resistance.
- Heat resistant to 150°C / 302°F for 30 minutes.
- Precision edges hold a clean, straight line on smooth surfaces.
- Holds well on PVC board, uPVC and glass.

Why it holdsa clean line.
The difference is measurable, not marketing. Adhesion to steel is 0.5–0.8 N/25mm against 2.0–3.5 for a standard painter's tape — about four times gentler. That is the margin between masking a two-day-old emulsion wall and repapering it.
Low tack usually means a compromise on line quality. This one avoids it: the washi backing is thinner at 85 μm and conforms tightly enough that paint still cannot creep underneath, so you get the same crisp separation with a fraction of the pull. It is the tape to reach for on a second colour, a feature wall, colour blocking and panel mouldings.
Clean removal is rated to 30 days, indoors or out, and the adhesive holds up to 150°C for 30 minutes — enough for spray work and gloss on delicate joinery. This is a specialist tape: reach for it when the surface underneath is the thing you cannot afford to damage, and reach for the yellow [Precision Line Painter's Tape](/shop/painters-washi-tape-yellow) when it isn't.
